BAND
BIO
Year 2001 marked the birth of the band ARAMAZD, an underground and self-produced quintet that have steadily set the trends and influenced the sound of the metal movement in Armenia. Five years later the band is going secure its rightful place atop the metal music scene with the upcoming 2006 autumn release of the first full length album.
ARAMAZD’s compositions are structured around ferocious and intelligent drumming, heavy twin guitar assault of devastating riffs and hooks, coupled with Armenian melodies and thunderous bass lines. The explosive combination of traditional metal, national rhymes and melodic lines exposed during numerous concerts and local festivals received great response from public and allowed the band to gain reputation together with fanatic following. To witness ARAMAZD live is to understand both their unique internal chemistry and the undeniable bond that the band shares with its audience. Many of those attending band’s shows later recalled that have never experienced such brutality, intensity and musicianship in Armenia .
Year 2006 marked new perspectives for ARAMAZD as the line-up changes brought fresh blood and expanded band’s musical perspective. Staying true to their original sound and metal tradition, ARAMAZD is crafting an unprecedented in Armenia album, both in terms of content and production. Never settling for mediocre approach, the band is always looking for ways to push the ability envelope just a little further, while making a daring, true and honest music.
